What Fits in a 10-Yard Dumpster

A 10-yard dumpster holds about three to four pickup truck loads, or roughly 60 trash bags. It's just right for clearing out a cluttered garage, tearing out a small bathroom, or getting rid of old deck boards from a patio. It also handles shingles from a small roof repair or a good pile of yard debris after a big trim. It's the dumpster for jobs that are too much for the curb but don't need anything huge.

10-Yard Dumpster Dimensions and Driveway Fit

The 10-yard measures 7 feet wide by 12 feet long and 4 feet high. That's about the footprint of one parking space, so it sits comfortably on most driveways in Greenwood and the towns around it. The 4-foot walls are low enough to load over by hand, even with bulky items. Driveway protection boards go under the rails on request, just ask when you order.

Will a 10-yard can fit on my driveway?

Yes. The 10-yard takes up about one parking space, so it fits on most driveways without any trouble. We can put boards under the rails to protect the surface if you ask when you order.

Is 2 tons enough for shingles?

Two tons covers a small roof section or a garage roof. Heavy material adds up faster than most people expect, so if your job is mostly shingles, call (864) 871-4290 and we'll talk through whether the 10 or the 15 is the safer bet. No dirt or concrete for now; our current trucks can't haul that weight.

What if I realize I need a bigger dumpster after ordering the 10-yard?

Call us. If it hasn't been delivered yet we'll just bring the bigger size. If you've already started filling it, we'll figure out a swap that doesn't leave you stuck.

Can I keep the 10-yard over a weekend?

Yes. The 1-to-3-day rental covers a weekend fine. And since we don't run Sundays, a rental that ends Sunday gets picked up Monday at no extra charge.
