The other half of sizing is weight, and it's the half people miss. Dense debris like shingles, plaster, tile, and wet carpet reaches the included tonnage while the dumpster still looks half empty. Light bulky debris like furniture, cardboard, and brush runs out of room long before it runs out of weight. Tell us which one your pile looks like and the right dumpster becomes obvious.
The posted price covers delivery, pickup, and the disposal tonnage listed for that size. It isn't a base rate with the haul added later. Rentals run 1 to 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or a full 30, and the rate steps up with the length rather than restarting, so a 20-yard for a week costs less than two short rentals back to back.
Go over the included tonnage and it's $70 a ton, off the scale ticket the landfill gives our driver. Need the dumpster longer than you booked? Call before the pickup date and we'll extend it. The one thing we ask is that nothing on the prohibited list goes in, because that turns a routine dump into a return trip.

One afternoon a customer called at 2:06 and the dumpster was on the job just before 3:00. We can't promise that every time, but it is the pace we aim for. We run out of Donalds and keep a second lot in Greenwood city, so most addresses across Greenwood, Abbeville, and Laurens counties are a short haul rather than an hour of windshield time, and that's the whole reason the schedule stays flexible.
Contractors get the same speed on swaps. Full dumpster in the morning, empty dumpster on site the same day, as long as the call comes in before late afternoon. Standing accounts and multi-dumpster jobs are worth setting up over the phone once instead of rebooking every week.

The driver needs a straight approach and clear overhead room to run the hoist, so the main things to sort before delivery day are moving the cars and knowing whether low limbs or a power drop cross the path. Tell us where you want it when you order and the driver will put it there rather than guessing.
