How the Overage Works
The one variable is weight. When we haul your dumpster, the landfill weighs the load and prints a scale ticket. If you're under your included tonnage, nothing changes. If you're over, it's $70 for each additional ton, taken straight off that ticket. Not rounded up, not estimated. A load that runs 400 pounds over costs a fraction of a ton, not a full one.
Most household jobs never touch the limit. Where people get surprised is dense material: mortar-bed tile, plaster walls, wet carpet, roofing shingles. Why Longer Rentals Cost More
A dumpster sitting in your driveway for a month is a dumpster that's off the road for us, so the rate steps up a little at 7, 14, and 30 days. Fast-moving projects should take the 1 to 3 day rate, and it covers a weekend fine since Sunday-ending rentals get picked up Monday at no charge. Slow projects, estate cleanouts especially, do better paying for the 14 or 30-day up front than extending twice.
A couple of small numbers to round it out: appliances ride beside the dumpster, not in it, at $25 each. Extensions mid-rental are a phone call.
