Due West is Erskine College's town, a few square blocks of college and history in the middle of Abbeville County farmland. It is a short run from Donalds, and most of the dumpsters we set here are for student rental turnovers and old house remodels.
Due West is a small college town built around Erskine College, and Highway 184 is the main road in and out.
College-house turnovers come in waves at the semester breaks, and the old homes around campus generate steady remodel debris. A dumpster placed right matters on these narrow streets, so tell us where it needs to sit and it will.
The streets around Erskine are narrow, and at semester breaks there's more parked along them than usual. That's the thing to think about on a college-house turnover. A dumpster on the drive is straightforward; one that has to sit on the street is worth a call to the town first. If the house has a back drive or an alley, that's almost always the easier place to put it. Either way, nothing needs a permit on your own driveway. If the dumpster has to sit on a public street in Due West, permission comes from whoever maintains that road, either SCDOT or Abbeville County Public Works, and the permit guide explains how to tell which.
Erskine leases and family houses alike, Due West is charged one flat rate. Call (864) 871-4290 with yours and Ryan will confirm the price and the delivery day on one call.
Due West pays the flat rates. Delivery, pickup and 2 to 4 tons of disposal included, then $70 a ton. Call (864) 871-4290 to get the price for your length.
On the drive, wherever there's one to use, and around back when there isn't. Plenty of Due West houses near campus have an alley or a rear approach, and that's a better home for a dumpster than a street already fighting for parking. Street placement needs the town's OK first, so save it for last.
Yes, and Due West turnovers come in waves at the semester breaks. Furniture, mattresses, boxes and general household clutter all load fine. Appliances go beside the dumpster at $25 each, and anything on the prohibited list stays out.
Call before the end date and we'll extend it. Due West turnovers often take longer than planned once the house is actually empty, and the 7, 14 and 30-day lengths price out on the phone, so the cost is clear before you commit.
Not on private property anywhere in Due West. Highway 184 and the streets around campus are the places where it could come up, so if the only workable spot is public pavement, check first. The permit guide explains it.
Due West's closest pages are Donalds, Abbeville and Hodges, with Donalds barely down the road. All of them carry the same flat rates; the whole roster is on the service area page.
Yes. Due West shares Abbeville County with Donalds, Abbeville and Calhoun Falls, and 184 ties it to most of them. County line, campus, or farm road, the rate does not change.
The home yard on Mount Lebanon Road in Donalds is practically next door; Due West is the closest town to it on our whole map. The Greenwood lot almost never makes sense for a Due West drop, and the flat rate wouldn't change if it did.
If your Due West project has a wrinkle in it, one call sorts it out faster than reading.
